On Saturday 2 April, 2016, the Ladkrabang Wildlife Checkpoint, in collaboration with the Natural Resources and Environmental Crime Division police, operated around the Chatuchak Market by doing the following:
1. A public relation campaign aimed at foreign tourists to deter buying ivory in Thailand.
2. Conducted an inspection for illegal ivory smuggling.
3. Conducted an inspection for illegal wildlife smuggling.
4. Encouraged for the wildlife dealers to properly label any non-native wildlife with their common name and respective birthplace.
