On June 16 2016, Betong Wildlife Checkpoint worked with officials travelling between Bukit Berlapid Wildlife Checkpoint and Pengkalan Hulu sub-district of the state of Perak in Malaysia in order to study the general physical information of neighboring border cities. The locations were found to be properly organized, cleaned, and clearly labeled. There were also signboards detailing the routes to the nearest stations. Most importantly, there were photos labeled with the phone numbers for organizations on the suppression and prevention of illegal wildlife trades such as WWF, TRAFFIC, and etc.
