On June 2 2016, Betong Wildlife Checkpoint reported in on the status of the coordination with Malaysia. They had contacted with senior officials of Bukit Berlapid Customs House and exchanged names and contact information for future endeavors in coordinating together. From the talks, it was learned that a strict regulation have always been imposed on international wildlife trades. For example, only certified official can prepare permits for imports and exports purposes. Betong Customs House has met with the new head of the checkpoint to ask for their continued cooperation in checking vehicle crossing the borders.
