On January 15, 2017, officials from Bangkok Seaport Wildlife Checkpoint, Lat Krabang Wildlife Checkpoint, and Administration Section of Division of Wild Fauna and Flora Protection, Department of National Parks, Wildlife and Plant Conservation continued their combined efforts in hosting an exhibition and campaign in Chatuchak Market, Bangkok, Thailand to ask for cooperation from tourists in refraining from buying ivory and illegal wildlife trade in Thailand. This long-running campaign at Chatuchak Weekend Market has been in continuation since December of 2010. Thailand’s Department of National Parks, Wildlife and Plant Conservation intents to campaign for reduction in source and demands of illegal wildlife and ivory consumption.

On 11 – 12 June 2016, Ladkrabang Wildlife Checkpoint hosted an exhibition at Chatuchak Market. The exhibition detailed the ivory regulations and enforcement efforts by Thailand. It also encourages foreign tourists to resist against buying ivory in Thailand.

On Sunday 13th March 2016, the Ladkrabang Wildlife Checkpoint,
in collaboration with the Natural Resources and Environmental Crime Division police, hosted a campaign to discourage foreign tourists from buying ivory in Thailand. They also worked together to inspect the ivory dealers and wildlife pet shops in Chatuchak Market
